The applicant responded to questions from the Commission. <br />c.Public Comments (for, against, or question) <br /> <br />Chris Coughren, 11207 N. H St., owns Business Industrial zoned property on the <br />southeast corner. Mr. Coughren is concerned that setbacks for business industrial <br />property are increased from 10 feet to 30 feet when located next to residential zoned <br />property. He has spoken with several City staff members to see if there is an option <br />where the increased setbacks would not impact him negatively. Clark Askins, <br />for his property could not be addressed as part of the special conditional use permit <br />currently under consideration. <br /> <br />Paul Groman, 4201 W. Broadway, Pearland, TX provided assurance that the plan is to <br />create a greenbelt that will serve as a buffer between the two properties. <br /> <br />Bruce Meismer, PO Box 294690, Kerrville, TX stated that any negatives impacts the <br />proposed development would have on adjacent properties should be addressed at <br />this time. Mr. Meismer also expressed concern about the plan to block off access to <br />the development from Boyett St., leaving only the access from Bay Area Blvd. <br />d.Question and Answer <br /> <br />The applicant responded to questions from the Commission. <br /> <br />4.ADJOURN PUBLIC HEARING <br />The public hearing was closed at 6:53 p.m. <br /> <br />5.Consider recommendation to City Council on SCUP #17-91000005. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Kendrick to recommend to City Council, approval of Special <br />Conditional Use Permit (SCUP) #17-91000005. <br />Second by Commissioner Follis. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Ayes: Commissioners Kendrick, Follis, Martin, LaCour, Smith, Barrera, Tschappat, and <br />Chairman Lawler. <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />6.Consider approval or other action regarding a request by Jennifer Curtis of BGE Kerry R. <br />Gilbert and Associates, applicant, on behalf of Jeff Anderson of Beazer Homes, owner <br />for approval of the proposed General Plan for the 235 acre tract of land legally described <br /> <br />
