The applicant is seeking approval of a variance to construct a fence <br />in the front yard of a single family residential lot. <br />Chairman Rothermel opened the public hearing at 6:10 p.m. <br />a.Staff Presentation <br />Planning Director, Mr. Richard Mancilla, presented staff’s report on a variance request 18- <br />93000002. <br />The applicant is requesting permission to maintain a fence that was constructed in the front <br />yard on a parcel of land this is not directly adjacent to the shoreline of Galveston Bay. The <br />fence was constructed without obtaining a building permit.
