Consider approval of the November 29, 2012, meeting minutes. <br /> <br />Motion by Charles Schoppe to approve the November 29, 2012, meeting minutes. Second by <br />T.J. Walker. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Ayes: Chester Pool, Charles Schoppe, T.J. Walker, Rod Rothermel, and Lawrence McNeal <br />(Alt 1) <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />3.A public hearing to consider Variance Request #12-93000009 for the property located at 711 <br />Fairway Drive, further described as Lot 69, Block 2, Lakes at Fa <br />Code No. 620028, M.R.H.C., La Porte, Harris County, Texas. The <br />allow a one-foot encroachment into the rear 15 building setback line, contr <br />provisions of Section 106-333 of the Code of Ordinances. The variance is being sought und <br />the terms of Section 106-192 (b) (2) of the Citys Code of Ordinances. <br /> <br />A.Staff Presentation <br /> <br />City Planner Masood Malik presented the staff report for Variance Request #12-93000009 <br />and Variance Request #12-93000010 simultaneously as both properties are located within <br />the same block of the Fairmont Greens Subdivision. The applicant, D.R. Horton Homes <br />(Builder) and 92 Fairmont Lakes, Inc. (Owner) seeks a waiver of one-foot from the Citys rear <br />building setback requirement. <br /> <br />Public hearing notices were mailed to three property owners within 200 of the subject <br />property. The City received one response in favor of granting the variance. <br /> <br />B.Proponents <br /> <br />Jeff Hyland, of Pasadena, TX, 77503, was sworn in by Vice Chairman Rothermel. Mr. Hyland, <br />affiliated with D.R. Horton Homes, spoke in favor of the variance. <br /> <br />C.Opponents <br /> <br />There were no opponents. <br /> <br />
