CHUCK ENGELKEN, CHAIR JAY MARTIN Councilmember District 2 Councilmember District 5 DARYL LEONARD DOTTIE KAMINSKI Councilmember District 3 Alternate Member MINUTES OF MEETING OF FISCAL AFFAIRS COMMITTEE MARCH 14, 2016 March 14, 2016, at 5:00 p.m., The Fiscal Affairs Committee met on in the La Porte City Hall Council Chambers, 604 West Fairmont Parkway, La Porte, Texas, to consider the following items of business: 1.Call to Order Chairman Chuck Engelken called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. Present were: Committee Members Daryl Leonard and Jay Martin. Also present: City Secretary Patrice Fogarty, City Manager Corby Alexander, Finance Director Michael Dolby, and Controller Phyllis Rinehart. 2.Consider approval or other action regarding minutes of the September 28, 2015, meeting of the Fiscal Affairs Committee P. Fogarty Committee Member Leonard moved to approve the minutes of the September 28, 2015, meeting. MOTION PASSED UNANIMOUSLY 3/0. Committee Member Martin seconded. 3.Receive and review First Quarter (FY2016) Investment Report M. Dolby Finance Director Michael Dolby presented the First Quarter (FY2016) Investment Report. 4.Receive and review month of June-August (FY2015) and September-November (FY2015) Purchasing Card Expenditures M. Dolby The Committee received the months of June-August (FY2015) and September-November (FY2015) Purchasing Card Expenditures. There were no questions from Committee Members. 5.Receive presentation of the 2015 Comprehensive Annual Financial (CAFR) Report M. Dolby Paula Lowe, CPA with Pattillo, Brown & Hill, LLP, presented the 2015 Comprehensive Annual Financial (CAFR) Report. Committee Member Martin asked how is the motor pool fund audited. Ms. Lowe provided a summary for auditing processes. 6.Set date for next meeting M.
