CHUCK ENGELKEN, CHAIR JAY MARTIN Councilmember District 2 Councilmember District 5 JOHN ZEMANEK NANCY OJEDA Councilmember, At Large A Councilmember District 6 Alternate MINUTES OF MEETING OF FISCAL AFFAIRS COMMITTEE JANUARY 14, 2019 The Fiscal Affairs Committee met on January 14, 2019, at 4:30 p.m., in the La Porte City Hall Council Chambers, 604 West Fairmont Parkway, La Porte, Texas, to consider the following items of business: 1.Call to Order Chairman Chuck Engelken called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m. Also present were: Committee Members John Zemanek and Nancy Ojeda. Also present: City Secretary Patrice Fogarty, City Manager Corby Alexander, Assistant City Manager Jason Weeks, Finance Director Michael Dolby, Controller Phyllis Rinehart and Purchasing Manager Cherell Daeumer. 2.Receive presentation from firm of Whitley Penn on the 2018 audit of the City of La Porte m. Dolby Laura Lynch from Whitley Penn presented the 2018 audit of the City of La Porte and answered any questions. Committee Member Ojeda arrived at the meeting at 4:39 p.m. 3.Set date for next meeting M. Dolby The Committee set March 11, 2019, at 5:00 p.m., as the date and time for the next meeting. 4.Administrative Reports C. Alexander There were no reports. 5.Committee Comments Matters appearing on agenda; Recognition of community members, city employees, and upcoming events; Inquiry of staff regarding specific factual information or existing policy. There were no comments. 6. Adjourn There being no further business, Committee Member Engelken moved to adjourn the meeting at 4:43 p.m. Committee Member Zemanek seconded.
