Call to Order <br />Chairman Jay Martin called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. The following member of the Drainage <br />and Flooding Committee was present: Committee Member Chuck Engelken. Absent: Committee <br />Members Danny Earp and John Zemanek. Staff Present: Corby Alexander, Jason Weeks, Don Pennell, <br />Lorenzo Wingate, and Patrice Fogarty. <br /> <br />2. Authorizations <br />(a) Consider approval or other action regarding minutes of the Drainage and Flooding Committee <br />Meeting held on October 8, 2018 P. Fogarty <br />Committee Member Engelken moved to approve the minutes of the Drainage and Flooding Committee <br />Meeting held on October 8, 2018, as presented. Committee Member Martin seconded. MOTION <br />PASSED 2/0. Committee Members Earp and Zemanek were absent. <br /> <br />3. Staff Reports <br />(a) Receive report from Harris County Flood Control District and Harris County Precinct 2 regarding <br />current and future plans relating to flooding in the City of La Porte L. Wingate/D. Pennell <br />City Engineer Lorenzo Wingate presented a summary and informed that staff met with Harris County <br />Flood Control District to address flooding issues in the Brookglen Subdivision. <br /> <br />Committee Member Engelken commented that a number of residents in the Brookglen Subdivision <br />have received letters for a voluntary buyouts from Harris County Flood Control District, and there is not <br />a solid communication plan. City Engineer Lorenzo Wingate reported the City received the last buyout <br />list in April 2018. City Manager Corby Alexander suggested staff get with Harris County Flood Control <br />to attend the next meeting to provide information on their plans. <br /> <br />(b) <br />Development Block Grant-Disaster Recovery (CDGB-DR) Round 1 Funds for Hurricane Harvey L. <br />Wingate/D.
