Askins, Asst. City Attorney <br />CALL TO ORDERChairman Martincalled the meeting to order at5:32p.m. <br />2. CITIZENCOMMENT (Generally limited to five minutes per person, in accordance with state <br />law, the time may be reduced if there is a high number of speakers or other considerations.) <br />There were no comments. <br />3. STATUTORY AGENDA <br />a.Presentation, discussion, and possible action to approve the minutes of the <br />Drainage and Flooding Committee regular meeting held on October10, 2022. \[Jay <br />Martin, Chair\] <br />Member Engelkenmoved to approve the minutes;the motion was seconded by Member <br />Williams;the motionwas adopted, 3-0. <br />b.Presentation, discussion, and possible action regarding the status 100-acre-foot <br />detention pond project near the PasadenaConvention Center and Brookglen <br />Subdivision, in connection with amended interlocal agreement between the City of <br />La Porte and the City of Pasadena. \[Lorenzo Wingate,Assistant Director of Public <br />Works\] <br />Ray Mayo, Director of Public Works, said the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers was reviewing <br />a wetlands delineation reportprepared by the City of Pasadena.MemberEngelken asked <br />ed to keep the project moving.Mr. Mayo said <br />there had not been any submissionto Planningfrom HCFCD on the proposed street <br />closures around a south retention basin in Brookglen. <br />c.Presentation, discussion, and possible action regarding the Harris County Flood <br />related to flooding in the City of La Porte. \[Lorenzo Wingate, Assistant Director of <br />Public Works\] <br />Mr. Mayosaid the projectswere beingdiscussed regularly with HCFCD. <br />November 14, 2022-Drainage and Flooding Committee Minutes <br /> <br />
