The grant is designed specifically to increase <br />local DWI enforcement during the following periods: Spring Break, Independence Day, and <br />Labor Day. <br />TheIDM grant requires a 25% match from the City, which will be met using fringe benefits, <br />allowances for marked vehicle usage, etc. The total projected program costs are estimated at <br />$8,297.96, with $5,973.28 being reimbursed through the grant award, and the remaining <br />$2,324.68required City match met through the above mentioned “in-kind” contributions. <br />Action Required by Council: <br />Consider approval or other action authorizingthe Interim City Manager to sign grant award and <br />other documents for the Impaired Driving Mobilization Grant (STEP-IDM-2012). <br />Approved for City Council Agenda <br />Steve Gillett,Interim City ManagerDate <br /> <br />
