Since that time, the consultants have been busy collecting data about the City's current processes and procedures. This was completed by conducting a series of one-on-one interviews and focus group meetings with both internal and external stakeholders. Each group had an opportunity to discuss their experiences with the many divisions of the Department- code enforcement, inspections, planning, and engineering. On December 10, 2012, the consultant presented the interim report, as outlined in the approved scope of work. This report focused primarily on the information obtained through the stakeholder interviews and meetings and identified recurrent themes and categories of issues. The final report attached and includes recommendations for addressing the issues and themes identified in the interim report. Following the consultant's presentation, staff will provide information on a proposed action plan for implementation. Staff is requesting Council input on the proposed action plan at this time. Revisions to this proposed plan will be made based on Council comments and brought back for additional consideration and approval.
