Finance Director Michael Dolbyinancial Advisors and Bond Attorneys presented a <br />summary. <br /> <br />Councilmember Leonard moved to approve a Bond Ordinance authorizing the City Manager to execute <br />the Bond Purchase Agreement and receive Plan of Finance. Councilmember Kaminski seconded. <br />MOTION PASSED. <br /> <br />Ayes: Mayor Rigby, Councilmembers Moser, Leonard, Clausen, <br />Kaminski, Mosteit and Martin <br /> Nays: None <br /> Absent: Councilmembers Engelken and Zemanek <br /> <br />Ordinance 2014-3515: <br />Assistant City Attorney Clark Askins read the caption of ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING <br />AND ORDERING THE ISSUANCE, SALE AND DELIVERY OF CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS GENERAL <br />OBLIGATION REFUNDING BONDS, SERIES 2014, IN AN AGGREGATE PRINCIPAL AMOUNT NOT TO <br />EXCEED $10 MILLION; DELEGATING TO AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVES THE AUTHORITY TO <br />APPROVE THE AMOUNT, INTEREST RATES, PRICE AND TERMS THEROF AND CERTAIN OTHER <br />PROCEDURES AND PROVISIONS RELATED THERETO; AUTHORIZING THE REDEMPTION PRIOR TO <br />MATURITY OF CERTAIN OUTSTANDING OBLIGATIONS; AND MAKING OTHER PROVISIONS REGARDING <br />SUCH BONDS AND MATTER INCIDENT THERETO. <br /> <br />8. DISCUSSION OR OTHER ACTION <br />(a) <br />Discussion or other action regarding the Council-appointed committee for the Truck Study <br />C. Alexander <br />City Manager Corby Alexander presented a summary for establishing the Council-appointed committee <br />for the Truck Study. There will be representatives from the business side, the trucking side, and the <br />citizen side. <br />Mayor Rigby advised the following have been nominated for the Truck Study Committee. <br /> <br />Councilmember Mosteit nominated Charles Montgomery for the citizen side. <br /> <br />Councilmember Engelken nominated Richard Warren for the citizen side. <br /> <br />Councilmember Martin nominated David Brady for the business side and Jess Steger for the citizen <br />side. <br /> <br />Councilmember Clausen nominated Larry Stockham for the citizen side. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zemanek nominated John Kling for the citizen side. <br /> <br />Mayor Rigby recommended Philip Dunn as a possible member if he is available to serve due to several <br />engagements already on his calendar during the month of April. <br />Councilmember Kaminski nominated Phil Steelman for the trucking side and Maggie Anderson for the <br />business side. <br />Councilmember Moser nominated Mark Follis for the citizen side. <br />Councilmember Martin advised staff he would like to see the role of the committee established in <br />writing. <br /> <br />35 <br />Page of <br />March 24, 2014, Council Meeting Minutes <br /> <br /> <br />
