WHEREAS, the late Jesse T. Garcia was a son, brother, husband, father, <br />grandfather, business owner, community activist and a friend to all, leaving <br />behind a memorial of good citizenship; and <br />WHEREAS,Jesse, along with his wife, owned Las Hadas Restaurants in <br />LaPorte and Deer Park, and served his community in various capacities <br />which include the following:he was very active as a member of the Knights <br />of Columbus, the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, La Porte Optimists, <br />LaPorte-Bayshore Chamber of Commerce, and the Hispanic Chamber of <br />Commerce in Baytown. Additionally, Jessewas very generous in the <br />sponsorship of youth activities,andalso very active ins Catholic <br />Church; and <br />WHEREAS,Jessehas not only left a legacy of good worksbut also a family <br />legacy.Jesse was married to Ernestine,and his children are Vanessa, <br />Bubba,andJesse. Jesseamily continues his legacy in the very <br />communitywhich, during his lifetime, he made many long lasting <br />friendships; and <br />WHEREAS, by honoring Jesse, he is being recognized as a treasure to <br />the La Porte community. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, I,Louis R.
