J understand that this is a <br />different approach from years past, but what I am striving for is some direction on a few items <br />and then receiving input from the council on what you would like to see built into next year's <br />budget. The meeting has been purposefully left somewhat unstructured to allow for <br />discussion on a multitude of topics as they pertain to the budget - at council's discretion. <br /> <br />The structured part of the meeting consists of: <br /> <br />1. Financial status report and forecast <br />2. Council direct staff on: <br />a. GASB 45 <br />b. TMRS <br />c. Employee benefits <br />d. Parks Trails implementation <br />3. Council provide input to staff regarding the following departments: <br />a. Police <br />b. Fire and EMS <br />c. Public Works <br />d. Parks <br />e. Planning <br />f. Golf Course <br />g. Municipal Court <br />h. Administration <br />i. Finance/Utility Billing <br /> <br />Please take time to consider each of the departments in the city and what, if anything, you <br />would like for us to incorporate in the budget for each department, as well as the city as a <br />whole. <br /> <br />I do not anticipate the meeting extending much beyond the noon hour (I would hope that we <br />would be done by around 1 :30 p.m.). <br /> <br />Thank you for taking the time to consider next years budget and for investing your time and <br />energy into the future of our city. <br />
