<br />MINUTES <br />AUGUST 10, 1988 <br />1. The meeting was called to order at 6:15 P.M. by Chairman Guy <br />Sutherland. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Chairman Guy Sutherland, Vice Chairman Larry <br />Tucker, Secretary Steve Gillett, Members Cliff Hyde and John Ladd. <br />Member John Ladd left at 7:25 P.M. for an emergency. Returned at <br />7:~0 P.M. <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: Member Michael Miller. <br />2. Motion made by Cliff Hyde to adopt minutes from the July 13, 1988 <br />meeting, seconded by Larry Tucker. Motion was unanimous. <br />3. Paul Hickenbottom, Fire Marshall, discussed the City of La Porte"s <br />Fire Code. He recommended that Rule 34 incorporate the Fire Code <br />and not itemize individual rules. Discussion followed on fueling <br />of aircraft, especially those aircraft that are certified for auto <br />gas. Discussed fire code rules that referenced additional <br />documents. Should include sentence that these documents are <br />available in Fire Marshall"s office. <br />Further discussion on various areas of the proposed rules and <br />regulations. <br />4. Manager"s Report: Discussion held on Runway x/22 - 5/23. Also <br />reminded everyone on the Harris Galveston Area Council meeting the <br />next day. <br />5. President"s Report: Cliff Hyde reported on proposed TCA public <br />hearing with FAA. The FAA was receptive to proposed changes by <br />the City of La Porte, San Jacinto College, and Cliff Hyde Flying <br />Service. The final public hearing will be held in September. <br />Cliff Hyde and Lary Tucker will attend. Chairman Guy Sutherland <br />reported that a joint meeting between La Porte and Deer Park will <br />be held soon in La Porte, sponsored by the La Porte-Bayshore <br />Chamber of Commerce. <br />
