CALL TO ORDER <br />Meeting called to order at 6:00 P.M. by Chairman Tom Campbell. <br /> <br />2. ADMINISTER OATHS OF OFFICE TO RE-APPOINTED BOARD MEMBER KEN <br />SCHLATHER (POSITION 5) AND NEW BOARD MEMBERS, MICHAEL REEDY <br />(POSmON 6) AND MARK FOLLIS (pOSmON 7). <br />Sherry Jennings administered oaths to Ken Schlather, Michael Reedy and Mark Follis. <br /> <br />3. CONSIDER APPROVING MINUTES FROM THE JUNE 26, 2008 MEETING <br />Motion to approve the June 26, 2008 minutes, as submitted, was made by Mr. Schlather. <br />Second by Ron Holt. Terry Bunch, Mr. Reed and Mr. Follis all abstained due to their <br />absences at the previous meeting. Motion passed. <br /> <br />4. REVIEW, DISCUSS AND CONSIDER A BOARD RECOMMENDATION TO CITY <br />COUNCIL REGARDING A POSSmLE WCAL RESIDENTIAL (IRC) AND <br />COMMERCIAL (mC) BUILDING CODE AMENDMENT PROHmITING THE USE <br />OF STAPLES FOR INSTALLATIONS OF ROOFS <br />Mr. Campbell made a motion to allow Tommy Moser speak regarding this matter. <br />Second by Mr. Follis. Following Mr. Moser's comments and the Board's discussion, Mr. <br />Schalther made a motion for staff to obtain a formal ICC code interpretation on IRC code <br />Sect. R905.2.5 and R 905.2.6 in regards to a possible conflict with manufacturer's <br />recommendation. Second by Mr. Follis. Motion passed unanimously. <br />
