<br />Building Codes Appeals Board <br />Minutes of August 17, 2010 <br /> <br />Members Present: Tom Campbell, Terry Bunch, Ken Schlather, Paul Larson and Mark Follis <br /> <br />Members Absent: Ron Holt <br /> <br />City Staff Present: Mark Huber, Deputy Building Official <br /> <br />Others Present: None <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br />Meeting called to order at 6:00 P.M. by Chairman Tom Campbell. <br /> <br />2. CONSIDER APPROVING MINUTES FROM THE JULY 13,2010 MEETING <br />Motion to approve the July 13, 2010 minutes, as submitted, was made by Ken Schlather. <br />Second by Mark Follis. Motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br />3. CONTINUE REVIEW AND DISCUSSION OF STAFF CODE REVIEW COMMENTS <br />ON THE 2009 CODE EDITIONS WITH LOCAL AMENDMENTS <br />The Board continued their review of the remaining code review comments and code books. <br />Mr. Schlather made a motion that the plumbing code be amended to include the drinking <br />fountain alternatives currently offered thru Policy #2009-002. Second by Paul Larson. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br />4. CONSIDER BOARD RECOMMENDATION TO CITY COUNCIL FOR ADOPTION <br />OF THE 2009 CODE EDITIONS WITH LOCAL AMENDMENTS <br />Motion by Mr. Schlather to adopt the 2009 Code editions with local amendments as <br />discussed by the Board. Second by Mr. Follis. Motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Mr. Schlather that staff prepare the Board memorandum recommending the code <br />adoption with local amendments based on the Board's review/direction, and to authorize the <br />Chairman to sign the memorandum for forwarding to City Council. Second by Mr. Larson. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br />5. ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS <br />None <br />
