• REGULAR M~;ETING <br />i,A rORTE (;TTY COtiNI:IL <br />~' bIAY 2834 <br />&ieeting was called to order by Niayor Harrison. <br />All members of the council were present ~~~~iO~ <br />~:~~~k~~est~~.t83t~t~.&linutes of previous meeting read and approved. <br />The following b#lls were presented and ordered <br />paid. <br />Workman and Arthur w4.08. Guy n Hamilton, X1.00. Aetna Life <br />Ins. Co.~201.25. Dennis Padgett and ~Tanford, X3'7.29. <br />ivo _cor~mittee re orts. <br />No unfinished business. <br />New BusinessL <br />The report of W Milligan on the audit of the <br />cities accounts was read and on motion made by Ald. Counts <br />and seconded by A1d. Agee the report was accepted.Sec'y. <br />was instructed to settle for same as per agreement. <br />I~~r.Milligan was present and offered the council <br />the following proposition, i e that the council allow him <br />~l'75.00 for the audit in addition to the original amount <br />of X200.00 and pay him X75.00 additional to install a new <br />system of keeping the cities accounts. <br />Alderman Counts offered a motion which.was seconded by Ald. <br />Roark that Nir. Nlilligan~s proposition be rejected. The <br />following results were obtained by a roll call vote. <br />Counts No. Sharp,No. Lawrence,No. Roark, No. Agee not voting. <br />Carried in favor of rejection. <br />rlderman Agee offered a motion which waa seconded <br />alderman Lawrence that the officers appointed by the City to <br />serve in the Park be required to make Surety Bonds and that <br />the city secretary be instructea to write to Mr. E L Crane <br />requestiing that he take immediate steps to have this done <br />and that he pay the premium on the Bonds. <br />Carried <br />The resignation of W H Hooper• City Marshal was <br />presented, and on motion by Ald. Sharp and second by Ald. <br />Agee the resignation was accepted. <br />Mayor Harrison presented the name of R H Baker <br />to serve the unexpired term. of W E Hooper and asked the <br />council to confirm the appointment. The following results <br />were obtained by a roll call vote. <br />~' Counts Yea. Sharp, Yea. Agee, Yea. Lawrence, Yea. Roark,Yea. <br />Unanimous Confirmation. <br />(See »ext page) <br />
