r <br /> <br />LA PORTE CITY COUNCIL <br />OCTOBER TWENTY TWO <br />1934 <br />It2eeting was called to order by Mayor H B Harrison. <br />All members of the council weae present. <br />Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. <br />The following bills were approved and ordered paid. <br />Sou. IN Bell Tel. Co. w10.95. Wilson Sta. and Ptg. Co® ~~3.55 <br />1!?r. C UV Austin of the firm of Harby Lyon and King was present <br />and submitted to the council an outline of his set up and his <br />proposed letter to be sent to the Bond holders in connection <br />with the refunding program being undertaken by the city. <br />Ald. Counts made a motion which was seconded by Ald. Lawrence <br />that the council approve the work done by P~Tr. Austin as presence d <br />by him. <br />Carried. <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />Ald. Counts offered a motion which was seconded by Ald. Lawrence <br />the our Fiscal agent be authorized to negotiate settlement on <br />past due interest coupons on a basis of 90~ discount or a exchange <br />for Bonds. <br />Carried <br />Ald. Counts offered a motion which was seconded by Ald. Agee <br />that the First National Bank of La Porte be designated as <br />the Depository of the cities funds. <br />Carried. <br />On a motion by Ald. Counts and second by Ald. Sharp the council <br />agreed to pay the premium on a Surety Bond for the Assistant <br />to the City Secty. <br />Carried. <br />The City Secy. and water Committee was instructed to negotiate <br />with bTr. Jno.
