2 <br />• <br />Report on wF®11 ~2 <br />L.E.Erwin, City Engineer, submitted the following report on Well ~2: <br />First adjustment on pump was made by representatiTe of Sou. Engine do Pump Co. <br />on June lOth,1936, according to their agreement at Special meeting of Council <br />June 9th,1936. On June 30th, 1935, Mr Jackson of Sou. Eng.& Pump Co. came <br />down at 1:30 P.M.. He suggested leaning the Well just as it was. No further <br />adjustments were aoa.de. Motion by Ald. Ruff, second by Ald. Agee, that this ~spl~*'~~ <br />report be accepted and placed on file. Carried. <br />Report -Corporation Court. <br />On notion of A1d.Boyle; second bg Ald. Ruff the report of the Corporation <br />Court for the month ending June 30th,1936 was ardered placed on file. <br />Order and Contract- Worthington P9leters. <br />Motion by Ald. Ruff, second by Ald. Boyle that the Water Com. order an add- <br />itional Q5 ti"~orthington"Watchdog" meters and that the Mayor and City Secretary <br />ba authorized to sign the contract for saz~e, also for t~~a 25 meters that had <br />been ordered by the Water C~. on July 6th, 1936. Carried. <br />Com. on Typewriter and Fan. nee and Ald. <br />The Mayor appointed a Corenitteo composed of Ald. Boyle, Ald. Ab <br />Ruff to purchase a Typewriter and a Fan for the City. This Coimnittee was <br />given power to act, <br />Awnings <br />Motion by Ald. Agee, secand by Ald. Boyle that the Buildin Com. be author- <br />ized to purchase 2 awnings for the City Secretaryts office. Carried. <br />Shell inn; Alley <br />The matter of shelling the Alley back of Guy Hamilton's plac® was referred <br />to the Street and Alley Com. <br />Bicycles on sidewalks <br />Motion by Ald. Boyle, second by Ald. Ruff ,that the rsatter oi" bicycle riding <br />on the side~ralks of La torte be referred to the Police Com. Carrie3• <br />Screen _ng <br />Motion by Al d. Ogee, second by Ald. Boyle that the bids on the screening of <br />the City Hall office be closed and that the contract be award~erd to Edw. Cowley <br />on his low bid of 2~j.50. Carried. <br />Painting City Hall '~~oodwork <br />Motion by Ald. Agee, second by Ald. Boyle that the matter of paintbng the <br />outside woodwork of the Cit,r Hall be turned orer to the Building Com. .with <br />instx^zctions to get bids on the job.
