Agee,second <br />by A, d. Holton. <br />Classes- "rater P- Sewer*e disposal <br />Coxmnunication regarding free conferer_ce classes on water anal sewage disposal being <br />held. in Iiouston at Taylor Vocationa' School during the month. of August was turned <br />over to the Water and Sewer Committees on motion, of Ald. Holton, second by Ald Agee. <br />Painting Bids, C~.t~T Hall <br />~~gotion by Ald. Holton,~~second by Ald. Roark that the bids on the ainting of the <br />outside woodwork of the City Hall be opened. Carried <br />Bids ,were as follows ; <br />J.I?.Thomas~ Jr. X77.50, R.O.Smith,~75•50, W.T.Jones X18.00 <br />Motion by A1d.Holton. second by A~d• Boyle that the i~.ayor and City Council take <br />the bids for painting the woodwor o~ the City Hall under consideration fair later <br />action. Carried. <br />Resolution- Bay ridge water connection <br />On motion of Ald. Holton, second by Aad. Roark the following resolution was adop~- <br />ed: <br />"Whereas , r7rs Sam Streetman(widow of Judge Sam Streetman), Allen Hannay, R.C. <br />Kuldell and E.L.Crain, owners of that certain water line which extends from the <br />City limits of La Porte along Grandview Avenue to the property of the said E.L. <br />Crain, desire a~~.ter service from the City of La Porte water system, and; <br />"y`uhereas, the Board of Alderm®n of the Clty of La Torte has agreed to fur- <br />nish vrater to such persons under the terms, conditions and agreements contained <br />in that certain contract, in writing, signed by such persons and bearing the <br />date August lOth,l93b; <br />I?OVd THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVEL'that George H. Sharp, mayor of the City of .La Porte, <br />and Pxs TL.G.Lambly, the city secretary, are hereby authorized and instructed to <br />execute, in-the name of the City of La Porte, the hereinaitove mentioned written <br />contract." <br />Flusriing -'ire Hydrants <br />Motion by Ald. Holton that the layor and City Secretary be- <br />authcrized to execute the contract between the City and John Pfleiger and there- <br />after connect him with the City water li.i~es if he asks it.
