TGZeetin~,which was postoned frogs the regular meeting date, September 28th to SepteBSber 30th, 193b, was called to order by Ta"ayor Pro-tom. Fred R. Ruff in the absence of T~.ayor Sharp. The following Alder~ien were present: C.Pi!. Agee Geo. ~iolton, F.T. Boyle, Fred R. Ruff acting as ?~.4ayor. i"inutes of the last zxeeting were read and approTed. Ilozvald sidewalk was read A co~a~mznication~frora Robt. B. Davis in regard to sidewalk which 1V~r B. ~, Howald wished t o build in front of one of his buildings on Amin St. After disc~zssion Ald. ~Iol-ton offered the following ~otion,seconded by Ald. Agee A?.oved that the regaest of tiIr B.~:~. Aiowald for p~.y~ent of one third of the cost of sidewalk to be constructed in front of his property on T,~air. St. known as the La Porte Package Store be refused. Carried. The City Secretary was instructed to ~1$ite T~ir Davis to this effect. The A,4ayor came into the meeting at this point and presided for the balance of the session. Old lumber to be ~noveci Adlotion by Ald. fiolton, second by Ald. Aoee that the old lumber on the Pump situ rear the well be a!oRed this week, Carried Int. on ~-ends Motion by Ald, Agee, second ~iy Ald. Boyle that the City Secretary be authar- ~'~ ized to draw a warrant on the Int. ~, Sinkm. Bond Fund in the amount of ~2,~930.00 for the Interest due on La Porte Ref:znding Bonds, Oct.lOth,1936, and a warrant on the General Fund in the ariount of X5.76 for Co~smission on said bonds, these amounts to be payable in exchange to the A~:anufacturers Trust Co. R~.~. Caxriad. Postage- Tax TVotices T:Iotion by Ald. Aoee, second by A1d. Boyls that the City Secretary be author- ized to issue a wrz.rrant on the General Fund in the 8~,ount of ~~p20.00 for postage to send out the Oct.l tax notices. Carried Ordinance ~=257-13ud;et An Ordiaan_ce to be known as Ordinance {257, making appropriation for the support of the GeTernment of the City of La Porte, Texas for the fiscal yoar beginning April lst,1936 and ending T~~4arch 31st 1937, was presented. Boyle, second by A1d.Hnltom that the City Council authorize the publication of the City r'inancial State~.ent as of March 31st,1936 in the City's official newspaper, the Dail~,- Sun, in a thirty (30) inch space. Carried. Off icial Stationery A'Iotion by Ald. Boyle, second by Ald. Age©, that the City Council order the necessary official stationery, letterheads and enTelopes, with the navnes of the City officials at the top of the letterheads. Carried. OTer
