Mc Aahan in regard to property in Block 7, La Porte <br />~eAshan which had been deeQtl.to the City by Mrs L.S. Mc Ashan. The letter was turned <br />over to the City Attorney for investigation and advice, on motion by Agee, <br />second by Ruff and ~idopted. by those present. <br />Coin The Counicil advised the City Secretary that refunds cannot be made on Coin <br />Mach Machine licenses, for music type of machine, which were taken out last year. <br />Eleotion The Mayor presented the report on the City Election held April 5th,1938, at <br />the City Hall as follows: <br />For Mayor to serve for two years; <br />Geo. E. Sharp b3 votes <br />Gus Tips 1 votes <br />For~Aldermen to serve for twa years: <br />J.J. Roark 62 votes <br />Fred R. Ruff 63 votes <br />Fred Hartman 1 vote.' <br />James ~,uldoon 1 vote <br />°~~~ For City Secretary to serve for two years; <br />1~~rs ~i.O.Lambly 61~ votes <br />For City Marshall to serve for two years: <br />F..H. Baker <br />James De Ladder <br />b3 votes <br />1 vote <br />The Mayor declared the following elected to serve for. two ,years: <br />Geo. H. Sharp, .~'ayor, J.J. Roark and Fred Fc. F.uff, Aldermen, Mrs M.O. <br />Lambly, City Secretary and &.H. Baker, City Marshall. <br />B'otion by Agee, second by Ruff that the election returns be reoei~ed and <br />p~aeed on file. Carried.. <br />On motion by Agee, second by Ruff, the Council took adjournment. <br />The newly elected officials were sworn in and administered the oath of <br />office by City Attorney Jno. ~~'..
