<br />~ ~ <br />Dalq. Tax The City Secretary and Tax Collector presehted the 191.0 Delinquent <br />Roll Tax Roll, as of January 31,191.1, in the amount of X9,321.05, for <br />examination by the Council. Motion by Agee, second by Johnson that <br />the City of La Porto Delinquent Tax Roll in the amount of X9,321.05, <br />as of January 31,19la.1, be approved. <br />Carried. <br />Affidavit The City Secretary presented an affide~vit from the Daily Sun of Goose <br />Creek on the printing of the City's ElectricQl Ordinance No. 285. <br />This affidavit was ordered filed. <br />The Mayor read the following election order: <br />Election Be it ordered by the Mayor and City Council of La Port®, <br />order Texas that the annual election be held at the City Hall Building in <br />said City of La Porte, on the 1st day of April, A.D.191+1, for the pur- .., <br />pose of electing three members to the Board of Aldermen of said City. <br />It is further ordered that ~'.W. Reynolds, Otis Harrison and <br />Mts June Kirchner are hereby appointed election officers,as designated, <br />and that said election be held in the manner prescribed by law for hold- <br />ing such elections. <br />It is further ordered that the returns of such election be <br />delivered to the City Council of said City, in open session, as soon as <br />practicable after the closing of the polls. <br />ordered <br />It is further that proper notice of such election be pub- <br />lished in the 'official newspaper. <br />The Mayor announced that the alternates on the election board would be <br />appointed at a later date. <br />Motion by Benson, second by Johnson, that the election order be passed <br />as read. <br />Carried. <br />There being no further business to come before the meeting,on motion <br />by Agee, second by Johnson and carried by those present, the meeting <br />ad3ourned. <br />" Y 1-L/. <br />Secretary, ity of La Porte, s <br />1 <br />l <br />1 <br />~', <br />~ i <br /> <br />
