M. D. Burgin, J, Ai. <br />`Johnson, P. L. Benson, Geo. F. Norris, City Atty. giibler, <br />City Seoretary Christen8en. <br /> Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. <br />Police OPfiver Mr. Amos Tomlinson appeared before the Counoil in regard to <br /> the gositian of Polioe Officer for the pity. <br /> The Mayor read the following appointments <br />Appointment RHEREAS, the Mayor of the 6ity of La torte, Tex has <br />~ <br /> appointed Amos Tomlinson, a Police Offioer of the City of <br />a <br /> Porte, Texas, wit8 all the duties and responsibilities of a <br /> City Peaoe Office <br /> AT01~, THEREFORE, BL IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OP' <br /> THE CITY OF LA PORTS, TEXAS, that suoh appointment be, and it is :_. <br /> hereby, confirmed, and forth®r that suoh officer shall hold such <br /> office at the pleasure of the City Council and shall receive as <br /> his compensation for his servioes suoh compensation as the City <br /> Council may from time to time tired. <br /> Motion by Burgin, second by Benson, that this app©intment be <br /> confirmed, effective September 1, 19l~.at a salary of X100.00 <br /> per month. <br /> Carried. <br />Letter The ~aretary read a letter from MoBoberts and Co., San gntonio, <br />Post far Impts. Texas, Dated gust 1~, 19l~. in regard to Post War-Improvements. <br /> Potion by Benson, seoond by Johnson, that this letter be placed <br /> on file. <br /> Carried. <br />Grader Blades The Searet~ry read a ee~munioation from Texas Equipment Co., <br /> Houston, Tezae, in regard to Galion, Grader Blades. <br /> Motion by Beason, seoond by Burgin, that this communication be <br /> planed on file. ' <br /> Carried. <br />Corp, Court The Mayor presented the Corporation Court Report f~tam~ July 1 to <br />Report July 22,_1914• <br />Motion by Johnson, second byYBorris, that the Corporation Court <br />Report as presented by the Mayor be accepted and Mayors fees <br />paid. -- <br />Carried. <br />Claus Geffken Motis~m ~ Burgin, seoond by Benson, that Claus Geffken be <br />discharged ~ disel2arged effective September 7, 191ala.. <br />Carried. <br />
