<br />Motion by Johnson, second by Roark, that the annual report of the
<br />Houston Lighting do Power Co., dated February 2b, 1946 and the
<br />Houston Natural Gas Corporation, dated February 28, 1946 be placed
<br />on file.

<br />Motion by Roark, second by Johnson, to ratify the contract with
<br />the Houston Lighting do Power Co., executed by the Mayo"r and City
<br />Secretary in connection with the construction of a conduit
<br />circuit running from the City's Mater plant to the new City mater
<br />~®11 pump, which contract was executed by the Council made in
<br />writing on March 2, 1946.

<br />Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of La Porte,
<br />Texas, that all eaadidates for office, at the City election to be -
<br />held on the 2nd day of April, A. D., 1946 shall file their appli-
<br />cations for their names to be placed on the official ballot, with
<br />the Mayor of said City, not later than twelve O'clock midnight
<br />of the 22nd day of reh, A. B. 1946, the same being at le ast ten
