<br />MINUTES - SPECIAL MEETING <br />LA PORTS CITY COMMISSION - AUGUST 19, 19l~.7 <br />Special meeting of the City Commission was called to order <br />by Mayor Pfeiffer, with the following members and officials <br />present: Commissioner Jas. E. Stewart, Supt. of Publio <br />Aorks Raleigh Erwin, City Attorney Jno. S. giibler, and City <br />Clerk J.E. Muldoon.. <br />Motion by Stewart, second by Pfeiffer, to approve replat of <br />Block 292, La Porte. <br />Carried. <br />Motion by Stewart, seoond by Pfeiffer to order a 1000 Gal- <br />lons per minute Goulds Pump, with rebuilt motor, 75 H.P., <br />~; 1800 R P M, from the Southern Engine and Pump Company, for <br />X1252.00. <br />Carried. <br />Motion by Stewart, seoond by Pfeiffer, to pay Ed Niles, <br />Contractor for construction of water main and sewer line, <br />tappings and materials to, and through the Moore Brothers <br />Housing Project in Block 215, La Porte, in the aggregate <br />amount of X2228.87, less lOJ retained of the sewer amount, <br />same being X81.50, to guarantee final backfill and clean <br />up, and also a release Prom J. N.
