<br />Special meeting of the City Commissian was called. to order by Mayor H. J.
<br />Pfeiffer, with the following members and city officials present: Coanaissianer
<br />Jas. E. Stewart, Supt. of Public ~Porkn, Raleigh Erwin, W. Matines, Jno. S.
<br />Biibler, City Attorney, and J. E. Muldoon, City Clerk.
<br />Motion by Stewart, second. by Pfeiffer, to authorize the Mayor to contact the
<br />different oil companies and to purchase x.000 to 5000 ga11oa1s of road oil at
<br />the best price.
<br />Carried.
<br />The City Clerk presented the Commission vrith a petition which was handed to
<br />him, said petitioa~ requesting stop signs at interseetioxua of South A, C, and
<br />G Streets, on SeQenth Avenue. '
<br />The Commission agreed to place signs as requested.
<br />Motion by Stewart, second by Pfeiffer, authorizing the City Clerk to issue a
<br />Purchase Order to the Lynn Cox Cc:npany, Dallas, Texas, for twelve (12) 30"
<br />Reflector Stop Signs, at X7.25 each, less discount.
<br />Carried.
<br />Motion by Stewart, second by Pfeiffer, authorizing the City Clerk to issue
<br />Moore & Moore a check for ~391•bl, same being the excess for labor deposited
<br />with the City for water and sewer extension is Block 227, La Porte.
<br />Carried.
<br />Mohan by Stewart, second by Pfeiffer, authorizing the City Clerk to issue a
<br />cheek to the Coastal Fence Company, in the aanount of $821.I~.7., out of the Rev-
<br />enue Bawd Fund, for fence oo~mpleted at Water Well site No. 3.
<br />Carried.
<br />Motion by Stewart, second by Pfeiffer, to appoint J. E. Muldoon, Judge of ~e
<br />Corporation Court, while R. Osborne 3s on his vacation.
<br />Carried.
<br />Madam, by Stewart, second by Pfeiffer, to ratify contract exaeuted by the
<br />Mayor axed City Clerk on June 29, 19l~8, between the City and Guy R. Harm It a~n,
<br />for water and sewer extension in the alloy of Block 18, I.a. Porte.
<br />Carried.
