Crate, Jr., and carried by unanimous vats, the fo1- lotiving resolution was adopteds '"~~i-IEREAS, the Texas HiCrtiway Dt~~,~artment of the State of Texas has be®n authorized by the State F~IiChway Commission by action appearing in the Minutes of said Commission on July 21, 1919, to provide for pavement widening and items incidental thereto on State Highway No. 225 from Z;th Street to 10th Street, a distance of approximately 1915 feet, sand on State Highway No. ].ltb from Main Street to South :t. Street, a distance o_° approxi- mately 21~~ feet; the aforesaid streets being; within the corporate limits of the City of La Porte, Texas; "V~IiEf~:A:i, said Commission has approved ttie expenditu~°e of approximately One Hundred: and Thirty-nine Thousand and Sever Hundred Lollars 0139,700.00) for the purpose of such paving program; "l. RE50LVl~~D: THIN, the City of La Porte, Texas, will furnish rill necessary right c'' :~°~~ clear of obstructions and free of property damage and will provide for the immediate construction of continuous curb and gutter xithin the portions of tic Street above designated; will be responsible for all utility adjustment and storm sewers as may be necessary for completion of the program, as well as any drive--ray s and sidewalks that may now or in th® future be necessary; v~ill raa3.ntain all improvements for which it has a responsi- bility to construct; and will enter into an appropriate agreement upon the stan- dard forms of said highway ?department; "2.
