33~ <br />RES uLUrI i~x <br />THE S'1'Ai'E OF TEXAS <br />C OUNPY OF HARRIS <br />CI'PY OF LA PORTS ~ <br />A RESCd~U'TION IN BEHALF OF THE CI"t'IZENS OF LA PCRTE IN APPRECIATION OF THE GIFT <br />OF A SPRAYING MAC33IBTE TO THE CITY BY THE FIRST NATIONAL BAN% OF I,A PORTS. <br />1NHEREAS, a great public necessity has existed within the City of La Porte <br />for a spraying machine to be used in the protection of the health of the citizens; <br />and, <br />1rt~REAS, the cost of the machine has been prohibitive to the City of La Porte <br />and the need for such equipment has been fulfilled by a most generous gift From <br />the First National Bank of La Porte, which has voluntarily purohased the necess- <br />ary equipment and donated it to the City; <br />1. RESOLVED: THAT, the Mayor and City Commission of the City of La Porte, <br />in behalf of the citizens of La Porte, express their sincere appreciation to <br />the said First Natianal Bank for its unselfish interest in the health and wel- <br />fare of our comnnuzity. In the past the personnel of the bank has demonstrated <br />unexcelled leadership in civic affairs and has done much to increase and main- <br />tain the o3vie pride so vitally necessary for our continued growth, and it is <br />with the deepest gratitude that we accept in behalf of the City of La Porte the <br />donation of the much needed spraying machine; <br />2• RESOLVED: THAT a Dopy of this Resolutian be delivered to the said <br />First Natiama.l Bank. <br />PASSED this 30th day of August, A.
