<br />The Mayor instructed the City Clerk to open bids on the erection of a redxood rater
<br />tank, located at Camp Sxift, Texas. The ia~ds rare tabul ated as follars:
<br />Pyramid Construction Co. Bid ~1t,500.00 This included a concrete slab.
<br />Niles Construction Co. Bid X1,937.50 No Concrete slab.
<br />Motion by Jones, second by Crate, to axard contract to Niles Construction Company.

<br />Motion by Crate, second by Jones, that the folloxing Resolution be adopted:
<br />RESOLUTION
<br />Whereas, heretofore, the Mayor of the City of La Porte prepared and submitted
<br />to the Board of Corrnissioners at it's meeting held on December 7th, 1950, his pro-
<br />posed budget for the fiscal year July 1, 1950 to June 30, 1951; and,
<br />Whereas, the Mayor filed such proposed budget xith the Clerk of the City of
<br />La Porte on November 6th, 1950, for public inspection;
<br />Whereas, the Board of Com~issioner designated that a public hearing on such
<br />budget be held at the City Hall at 11:00 o'clock A. M. on December 21, 1950, and
<br />caused such public notice of such hearing to be made; and
<br />Whereas, such public hearing has been held, and is therefore ordered by the
<br />Board of Commissioners that the budget as prepared. and submitted by the Mayor is
<br />hereby finally approved by the Board of Commissioners, and it is hereby ordered
<br />that a t rue copy of such approved budget, together xith a copy of this order, shall
<br />be filed in each of the offices of the Clerk of the City of La Porte, the County
<br />Clerk's office, Harris County, Texas, and the State Comptroller at Austin, Texas.
