<br />Motion by White, second by Rigby, that the folly Resolution be adopted:
<br />RF~OLUTION
<br />tiVHF..ftEAS, heretofore, the Mayor of the City of La Porte prepared and submitted
<br />to the Board of Commissioners at it's meeting held on October 2, 1952, his pro-
<br />posed budget for the fiscal year July 1,1952, to June 30, 1953; and,
<br />WHEREAS, the Mayor filed such proposed budget with the Clerk of the City
<br />of La Porte for public inspection;
<br />WHEREAS, the Board. of Commissioners designated that a public hearing on
<br />such budget be held at the City Hall at 11:00 A. M., on October 16, 1952,
<br />and c aused saoh public notice of such hearing to be made and published Oct-
<br />ober 9, 1952;
<br />WfRREAS, such public hearing has been held, and is .therefore ordered by
<br />the Board of Commissioners that the budget as prepared and submitted by the
<br />Mayor is hereby finally approved. by the Board of Commissioners, and it is here-
<br />by ordered that a true copy of such approved budget, together Frith a copy of
<br />this order, shall be filed in each of the offices of the Clerk of the City of
<br />La Porte, the County Clerks s off5.ce, Harris County, Texas, and the State Comp-
<br />troller at Austin, Texas.
