Norris and L. L. <br />Rice, to the current Equ, a1i z ati on Board.- <br />Carried. <br />The Commission unanimous7,p apprcNed letting Roger Tolar place a building 10 x lOt <br />in size far ~t5 days only, on Lots 13 to 15, Block 58, La Porte, for the purpose <br />of selling watermelons, building to be removed itt¢nediately in the event grounds <br />and building are n art kept in sanitary condition. <br />The City Commission instructed the City Clerk to write the Texas Highway Depart- <br />ment requesting thaw to participate with the City of La Porte in curb, vtter~ <br />storm serer and paving bc3tw~een "E" Street and "G" Street, ,on Highway 1, the <br />City of La Porte and the La Porte Independent School District to pay .for the <br />curb and gutter and necessary storm seer, and the State to do the paving. <br />They also instructed the City Clerk to write the Texas Highway Department, and <br />request them to pave two onii.ssions in the pavement on Highway 225 (~dain Street) <br />namely, i n frcait of East ~ 2 of Lot 13; All @f I.~., and the We s t ~ of Lot 15, <br />Block 57, and Lots 13, l.~Iy 15, 18 and 19, Block 59, all in the City of Laporte. <br />The City Commission instructed the City Clerk to write a letter to r~rs. J. L. <br />Mc Comore, o of a house located on Cart b, Block 2, Sylvan Beach Add3:tion, <br />>to izmnediately install a septic tams with proper drain fields. They have re- <br />ceived many complaints of raw sa~rage flawing into the ditch from the house. <br /> <br />The City Clerk read a letter from the La Porte Independent School District, <br />in which they stated the Board, through formal action, had ~anteda right-of-~ay <br />for drainage file along and through "E" Streets frown Broadway to the main <br />drainage ditch on Arizona Street.
