Bidders are expected to inspect the site of the work and to inform them- selves regarding all local conditions. Attention is called to t he f act that there must be paid oat this project not less than the general prevailing rate wages which have been established by the City of La Porte which is of record in the office of the City Clerk, and is applicable to all contracts ativarded by the City. It is the intention of the City Commission of the City of La Porte, Texas, to authorize and issue ti.atae warrants of the City of La Porte in the ma~c;samm amount of Twenty-five Thousand 025,000.00) Dollars, bearing interest at the rate of not more than five (5~) per cent per ar~raum, and matux'ing serially over a period. not to exceed thirty (30) years, for the purpose of evidencing the indebtedness of the City of La Porte for a1.1 or part of the cost of said improvements to said streets in the City of La Porte, including all engineer- ing and other professional expenses necessary and pertinent to said work.
