Motion by Brown, second by Osburn, that sewer line between I~th and 5th streets, crossing F Street from the 700 block to 600 block, be repaired to make existing line useable, amount of line to come out of sewer construction fund. Carried. Motion by Boyle, second by Brown, that Commissioner Osborn be authorized to secure a man to read water meters and make necessary repairs, and work directly out of City Hall. Carried. Motion by Lawler, second by Brown, that Ordinance No. 5Tl be adopted as read. Carried. Motion by Osborn, second by Boyle, that the bill of Myatt C. Hedrick be paid for Phase 1 & 2, in the amount of $2,127.8lt, to be paid out of Permanent Improvement fund. Carried. Motion by Brown, second by Boyle, that the policy of City pertaining to con-~ struction of sidewalks, be as follows: The general provisions of Ordinance No. 398 remain unchanged. City will partici- pate on a 50-50 bas~_s with the property owners for sidewalk construction in both the business and residential districts, provided however, that sidwalk construction must be confined to easement right of ways and for a minimum of one city block. If sidewalk construction is not for the entire city blocky but for footage to complete an entire block where some present sidewalk exists, and the present walk is in a good condition as approved by the city the same participation ratio wi..l apply. Sidewalks in bad condition arxi in need of repair will qualify far' such repairs and be entitled to the same city particpation.These repairs first subject to the approval of the city. Sidewalks constructed under this proposed plan will of necessity be subject to city superv3.simn during construction. Carried.
