Miscellaneous Items 1,109.07 <br />Motion by Osborn, second by Lavrler, that the City accept the low bids of <br />Houston Creosoting Company in the amount of $697,86, and General ~.ectric <br />Supply Company for necessary fixtures, lamps and miscellaneous materials, <br />i.n the amounts of ~1,106,i~0 and X1,053.81, and that the Mayor be also <br />authorized to employ some one to draw plans and specifications on ball <br />field, <br />Carried. <br />Motion by Lawler, second by Brown, that the I~4ayor be authorized to employ <br />labor to assemble the poles and materials to erect the lighted ball field <br />on North side. <br />Carried. <br />Mayor Pfeiffer stated that he would like to discuss the ne•~r addition to the <br />City Hall, as to complying to the Fire Zone ordinance. Mayor Pfeiffer read. <br />a letter from Mr, Carlos Smith of ~tYyatt HeFlxick Engineering Firm, stating <br />that his firm believes the building conforms with the fire zone ordinance. <br />At this point, Mayor Pfeiffer asked Fire Chief Rollins to give his opinion <br />on the construction of the City Hall addition. Chief Rollins stated that <br />i in his opinion, the building met the City's ~`i.re Zone requirements. <br />Mayor Pfeiffer asked the Commission what their stand on the zoning ordinance <br />would be for the future. The Canmission agreed unanimously to support the <br />Zoning Commission and work with than to make changes in present ordinance <br />requirements. <br />~~otion by Brawn, second by Lavrler, that C~nmissioner Brotivn be authorized to <br />purchase additional oil for streets. <br />C a.rri.e~l, <br />Motion by Osborn, :second by Brown, that the ~'~1"ley in Black 165 be closed, <br />subject to the City being furnished with an easement for public utilities, <br />1.6' in width, running North and South Pram. H Street to I Street on East <br />side, and the City be furnished. vri.th X3,000.00 in cash with which to <br />immediately install utilities. <br />Carried. <br />Motion by bawler, second by Osborn, that Mrs. Elsie ~vfoore be paid X125.00 <br />for typing on ?oning Ordinance. <br />Ca:Y'ri ed. <br />Motion by Osborn, second by Brown, that r ttorney Pitman be paid x;315.00 <br />for services rendered on Zoning Ordinance and Corporation Court, more than <br />contracted for. <br />Carried, <br />
