Potion by Brown, second by Osborn, that inasmuch as the school has agreed to pay the cost of curb and gutter, th€~t Carlos Smith be advised to install curb and gutter in front of the De tPalt Elementary school. Carried. A discussion on r1hen a building permit should or should not be required, was held. Pw~ayor Pfeiffer stated that at the present time, all perr_iits are required to be okayed by the Zoning Commission, but that he felt like when the application was for a small repair job, it should not have to be passed on by the Commission. rBrs. Elsie k~oore, a member of the Zoning Board stated that the emergency ordin- ance which was passed provided. that the Zoning Board pass on all building per- mits, demolishing and repair permits. This matter will be discussed further at a meeting of the Zoning Board and the Commission in the near future. Commissioner Dunham sts.ted that when the Advisory Board for the Zoning Comm- ission is set up, if and when the Zoning Ordinance is finally passed, he would like to see members of the present Zoning Board be appointed to this Advisory group, as they would be familiar ,,pith all phases of the ordinance. ~7otion by Osburn, second by Dunham, that P~Irs. Norris be appointed to the Equalization Board for the year 1960. Carried.
