<br />Motion by Brown, s econd by Stabs, that Ordinance No. 613, be adopted as
<br />read. The caption of such adopted ordinance r earls as follows:
<br />AN ORDINANCE RAKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR SUPPORT OF THE COVE~T~TT
<br />OF THE CITY OF LA POR.TE, TEXAS, FOR T HE S'ISCAL YEAR BEGZNNTNG
<br />JULY 1, 1960, RN D ENDING JUNE 30, 1961.
<br />Carried.
<br />WHEREAS, heretofore, the ~~ayor of the City of La Porte,
<br />prepared anc~ submitted to the City Commission, at its meeting held on
<br />the 17th day of June, 1960, his proposed budget for the fiscal year
<br />.from the 1st day of July, 1960, to the 30th day of June, 1961; and
<br />WHEREAS, the City Commission filed such proposed budget
<br />with the Clerk of the City on the 17th day of June, 1960, ~d designated
<br />that a public hearing on such proposed budget be held at the City Hall
<br />at 7:00 P. I12., on the 8th day of July, 1960, and caused public notice
<br />of such hearing to be made; and
<br />WHEREAS, such public hearing has been held:
<br />NON, THEREFORE, it is ordered by the City Commission that
<br />the budget, as prepared and submitted by the rdayor, and as amended by
<br />the City Commission, is hereby finally approved by the City Commission,
<br />and it is hereby ordered that a true copy of such approved budget, to-
<br />gether with a copy of trd.s Order, shall be filed in each of the offices
<br />of the Clerk of the City of La Porte, the County Clerk of Harris County,
<br />Texas, and the State Comptroller, at Austin, Texas.

<br />be adopted as read:

<br />BE IT RESOLVED >~Y THE CITY CO~MD:SSION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE,
<br />that the First National Bank of La Porte honor and pay checks and drafts
<br />cdrawn on the City of La Porte bank accounts, when signed by -FRANK G.
<br />BAKER, City Clerk, or RUTH HUDDLESTON, Assistant City Clerk, and counter-
