Regular meeting of the 8ity Commission Was called to order by Mayor Pro-Tem Brown, frith the following members present: Ccmmi.ssioners Osborn, and Dunham, (Coaimi.ssioner Stabs on vacation), (Maywr Pfeiffer out of tcmn), and City Clerk Frank G. Baker. Commissioner Stabs came in late from vacation. Also present Was Mr. Marsh, Baytoam Sun Reporter. Minutes of the last regular and special meetings Were read and approved. Carried. Motion by Denham, second by Osborn, that the insurance on fire trucks be re- newed With La Porte Insurance Agency, This policy Will also include the near fire truck. Carried. Motion by Osborn, second by Dunham, that the next regular meeting be maned up to August 18th, at 7:00 P. M. Carried. Motion by Dunham, second by Stabs that the City continue to pay the Neigh- borhood Center X50.00 per month, to be paid out of recreation budget. Carried. Mayor Pro-Tem Brourn asked that the bids on elevated tank be opened. One bid Was received from Gulf Automatic Sprinkler Co,, Dallas, Texas, in the amount of X622.00. No bids Were received on searer line, Motion by Osborn, second by Denham, that the bid from Gulf Autosatic Sprinkler Company be set aside for further disucssioa~. Carried. Motion by Stabs, second by Dunham, that Estimate No. 5 of Moore & Moore, on Fire Station, in the amoant of X1979.91, and Estimate No. 6 of tfyatt C. Hedrick in the amount of X36.43, be paid. Carried. Motion by Osborn, second by Stabs, that Estimate No. 5 of ~Pyatt C. Hedrick, in the amount of X1687.05, be paid, subject to coz:versation With Carlos Smith. Carried.
