<br />Regular meeting of the City Commission was called to order by Mayor li, P.
<br />Pfeiffer, with the foilowi ng members present: Commissioners Osburn, Stabs,
<br />Brown and Dunham, Attorney Pitman, Supt, ti~J, A, Arthur, and City Clerk crank
<br />G. Baker.
<br />Also present were I~xs. Brummerhop (Press), and Mr, Brummerhop.
<br />Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
<br />Carried.
<br />Motion by Osburn, second by Stabs, that the City Clerk be authorized to
<br />refund overpayment on ad valorem taxes to the following industries: Du Pont,
<br />x417.18; Celanese Corporation, X2,694.10; and Phillips Petroleum, ~272.t~3.
<br />Carried,
<br />~Fotion by Dunham, second by Osburii, that t~.e weekly pay period end on Tuesday,
<br />instead of I•dednesday,
<br />Carried.
<br />Motion by Stabs, second by Osburn, that the regular monthly meetings be held
<br />on first and third Thursday of each month, starting Frith the second Thursday
<br />in September, (September 14th),
<br />Carried.
<br />Motion by Brown, second bar Osburn, that the City install 2 - 20,000 Lumen
<br />lights on J Street, for the School District.
<br />Carried.
<br />A letter from the Bos.rd of Adjustment was referred to Attorney Pitman, report
<br />to Mayor to be made during the week.
<br />Plotion by Osburn, second by Stabs, that J, M, Calhoun be placed on Board of
<br />Adjustment, to replace R.A.. IVIc Glendon,
<br />Carried.
<br />r"otion by Osburn, second by Stabs, that J. L. Smith replace Don Dingle on
<br />Zoning Board, and that rR.rs. E.T. Preston replace Jack Lawler on Zoning Board.

<br />Motion by Dunham, second by Stabs, that John ti°Joerner replace Geo. Lundy as
<br />Humane officer.
<br />Carried.
