MINUTES - SPECIAL T~ETING LA PORTE CITY C OMMISSIOPI -MAY 21ST , 1962 7:00 P. M~ Special meeting of the City Commission was tailed to order by PZayor H. P. Pfeiffer, with the following members present: Commissioners Stabs, Osborn, Brown and Dunham, City Attorney C~ L. Pitman and City Clerk C1oT,ris D. Mann. Mr. John Kraak, of John Kraak, Inc., presented preliminary plans with specifications for the construction of an apartment building. Commissioner Osborn made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Dunham, that the preliminary plans be approved, and fur ther that Ordinance No. 620 be amended to include Block 1111 of the City of La Porte in the classification shown as "E" apartment buildings, duplexes and/or any other multiple dwelling district. Plotion Carried. Motion by Osborn, second by Dunham, that Ordinance No. 620-B be approved as read, The caption of such adopted ordinance reads as follows: AN ORDINANCE ANIE2JDITdG ORDINANCE N0, 620, C~i.4NGING BLOCK 1111 IN THE CITY OF LA POF~TE, IN HAnF~IS COUNTY, TEXAS, FROM ITS PRESENT ZONING CLASSIrICATI0D1 TO BE F-K'JNCEFORTH CLASSIFIED AS "E" APARTMr~NT BUILDIAIG5, DUPLEXES A~/OR MULTIPLE DGIELL- ING DISTRICT. ration Carried. Commissioner Osborn made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Brown, that the alley between 1st Avenue and 2nd Avenue of Block 1111, be closed. ~?otion Carried. Commissioner Stabs made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Brown, t'.~at the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to sign a resolution releasing a paving lien on Lot 2, Block 38, City of La Porte, Trrhen such resolution is cleared by the City Attorrey.
