• • 32. <br />3. Motion was made by Commissioner Brown, and sec- <br />onded by Commissioner Osburn, that the employment of I. R. King, <br />as City Inspect®r be terminated effective at the close of business <br />October 1, 1962 and that Dan W. Kennedy be employed as City <br />Inspector, with additional duties in the Tax Department and <br />Water Department, effective October 15, 19b2, at four hundred <br />fifty dollars ($ 1~50.~) per month. Motion carried. <br />~ ~,~ # <br />L~. Motion was made by Commissioner Osburn, seconded <br />by Commissioner Brown, that the City Clerk be authorized to <br />employ an additional clerk for his office, effective November 1, <br />1962. Starting pay to be two hundred fifty dollars ($ 250.00) <br />per month for a probationary period. of six (6) months, anal if <br />employment satisfactory, the pay to be raised to two hundred <br />seventy-five dollars ($ 275.00) per month. Motion carried. <br />~~ ~ <br /> <br /> <br />5. Commissioner Brown made a motion, seconded by <br />Commissioner Osburn, that City Clerk Clovis D. Mann be author- <br />ized to attend the Texas Municipal LeaCue Conference, to he <br />held in Ft. Worth, Texas, from October 7th through October 9th, <br />and that he be authorized to represent the Mayor at the Legis- <br />lative Committee Meetings. Commissioner Osburn made a motion, second,eal by RESOLUTION NO. <br />Commissioner Brown, that Resolution No.9 -62, authorizing the 9 -62 <br />City to borrow twenty thousand dollars ($ 20,000.00) on a "Tax <br />Anticipation Note" to meet current expenses. Motion carried. <br />8. Commissioner Brown made a motion, seconded by <br />Commissioner Osburn, that the City Engineer be authorized to <br />spend not more than one hundred fifty dollars ($ 150.00) on <br />street signs, markers, and traffic signs. Motion carried. <br />9. - Commissioner Bro-~rn made a motion, seconded by <br />Commissioner Osburn, that Ordinance No. 659, be passed. <br />Motion carried.
