• <br />3. The Mayor directed the City Clerk to Administer <br />the Oath of Office to the Commissioners-Elect, whereupon Mr. <br />Frank G. Baker and Mr. Russell Shepherd were duly sworn in <br />as City Commissioners; Mr. Shepherd for Position 7 and Mr. <br />Baker for Position 3. Bofh Commissioners then assumed the <br />duties of Position 7 and 3, vacated by Dennis C. Dunham and <br />Odell Brown respectively. <br /> <br />4. Commissioner Shepherd made a motion, seconded <br />by Commissioner Baker that dates of the Regular Meetings <br />of the Commission. be changed from the first and third Fridays <br />of each month, to the first and third Mondays of each month, <br />effective with the next regular meeting to be held Monday, <br />May 20th. Time of the meetings to remain at 7:00 o'clock <br />p. m. The Agenda to be closed to new items at 5:00 o'clock <br />on the Thursday prior to the meeting night. The matter of Civt1 Defense Director appointment VACANCY OF C. D. DlR <br />was discussed. Commissioner Baker made a motion, seconded by STUDIED <br />Commissioner Shepherd, that the matter be tabled for future <br />meeting when all Commissioners could be present. Motion carried. <br /> <br />6. Commissioner Osborn made a motion, seconded by APPOINTMENT OF SW. <br />Commissioner Baker, that Mr. Britton N. Phillips be employed POOL P'AP~iAGER FOR <br />for the summer as Swimming Pool Manager at a salary of three SUMMER - PHILLIPS <br />hundred dollars (,~ 300.00) per month. Motion carried. <br /> <br />7. Commissioner Baker made a motion, seconded by BID LET TO REPAIR <br />Commissioner Osborn, that the low bid of fifty-one dollars, (ALLEN) POLICE CAR <br />($ 51.00,) made by Clunn Motor Company for repairing Lee <br />Allen's car be accepted. The other bid was made by Joe Camp <br />Motors in the amount of eighty-eight dollars and thirty- <br />nine cents (~ 88.39). Motion carried. <br />* ~ <br />8.
