Pfeiffer <br />• /nvocation was given by Reverend Ben Nlorrisson, <br />Associate Minister of the First Baptist Church of La Porte. <br />~ * ~ <br />1. Minutes of the Regular Meeting of August 5, 1963 <br />were read and approved. Minutes of the Special Meeting of <br />August 8, 1963 were read and corrected to show Carlos Smith, <br />absent. Minutes were approved as corrected. <br /> <br />2. Bids on Block 4, Bayfront Addition, were received BIDS ON BLOCK 4, <br />in accordance with City~s advertisement of acceptance of bids. BAYFRONT OPENED - <br />One bid was received from W. A. Stabs, Sr., in the amount of SOLD TO '//. A. <br />nine thousand two hundred fifty dollars, ($ 9,250.00). Bid STABS, SR. <br />was accompanied by a check for one thousand dollars, (~ 1,000.00). <br />Commissioner Baker made a motion, seconded by <br />Commissioner Shepherd that Block 4, Bayfront addition be sold <br />to W. A. Stabs, Sr., as the highest bidder. Motion carried <br />with Commissioner W. A. Stabs, Jr. abstaining. <br /> <br />
