• • 236 <br />AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING THE MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br />CREATED BY ARTICLE 620-18 OF ORDINANCE 620 OF THE LAWS OF THE <br />CITY OF LA FORTE, PRESCRIBING THE DUTIES AND SETTING THE TERM <br />OF OFFICE OF EACH MEMBER. <br /> <br />5. Mr. E. H. Malone, 730 South Blackwell, and Mr. <br />Bert Brandt, 722 South Blackwell, appeared before the Comm- <br />ission, requesting that South Blackwell be opened to the Bay. <br />They were assured by the Commission that the matter would be <br />pursued further, to determine whether the Street could be <br />opened. <br /> <br />6. Reverend Pinkney appeared before the Commission <br />with a group of citizens in regard to a proposed Day Care <br />Nursery at the Northside Community Building. The Commission <br />tnformed him that the United Day Care Association had approved <br />pay Care Nursery for the Northside, dependent upon the <br />following needs being met by the City: <br />a. Seventy-five (75) square feet fenced area per <br />child. (Rev. Pinkney felt that 150 to 200 more feet of wire <br />. ` would be needed.) <br />~+. b. Dishwasher. <br />~ c. Partition (portable) in building to run east and <br />~ west. <br />Z d. Approxtmately 4~ x 12' partition to close off <br />space at West End for storage place. <br />O e. Wall shelves on north and south walls, approx- <br />~ imately four (4) feet long, and three (3) feet above floor for <br />storage of supplies. <br />f. A twelve (12) foot by twelve (12) f®ot outside <br />utility building for equipment storage. <br />The Commission instructed City Engineer Smith to <br />determine the cost of these articles and report back to the <br />Commission. <br /> <br />7. Motion was made by Commissioner Stabs, seconded <br />by Commissioner Shepherd, and carried, that the Ctty Attorney <br />be instructed to prepare a Zitter Ordinance to present to the <br />Commission at its next meeting. <br /> <br />• 8. Commissi©ner Shepherd made a motion, seconded by <br />Commissioner Baker, and carried, that the Public Works Depart- <br />ment be authorzzed to raise the wages for the following two <br />employees as indicated: <br />
