Notice to Bidders was published in <br />the La Porte-Bayshore Sun, offictal newspaper of the City <br />of La Porte on November 99th and November 26th, 9964. <br />Commissioner Stabs made a motion, seconded by <br />C©mmissioner Shepherd, that the low bid of Joe Camp Motors <br />on the Police Patrol Car be accepted, and that the City <br />Clerk be authorized to tssue Purchase Order for the car. <br />Mot ion canted. <br />* ~ ~ <br />3. A motion was made by Commissioner Stabs, <br />seconded by Commissioner Shepherd, that action on the <br />remaining bids be tabled so that study of the bids could <br />be made before awarding contract on the purchase. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />4. A request from Mr. F. E. Westergren, Jr., to <br />rezone certain property known as the"Mtnchen Property", <br />bordering Sylvan Beach, from Class rrA-r Single Family <br />Dwelling District to Class "E" Apartment Buildings, Duplexes <br />and/or any other Multiple Dwelling District was presented. <br />The exact legal description of the Minchen Property <br />with reference to the above, is attached to these Minutes <br />as Exhibit "A". <br />Commtssioner Baker made a motton, seconded by <br />Commissioner Shepherd, that a Public Hearing be called <br />for 7:00 p.m., December 28, 9964 for the purpose of con- <br />sidering re-zoning; and that required Public Notices and <br />notification to property owners be made. Commtssioner Baker made a motion, seconded by <br />Commtssioner Stabs, that the City join with Boyle Realty <br />Company, in purchasing Christmas decorations for the inter- <br />section of "A" Street and South Second Streets and that the <br />City be authorized to issue a check in the amount of forty- <br />six dollars and twenty-five cents, ~$ 46.25) to Frank Boyle, <br />Sr., as the city's share.
