A motion was made by Commissioner Stabs and seconded <br />by Commissioner Osburn, and carried, that the Mayor <br />and the City Clerk be authorized to sign a contract <br />with Harris County providing for reimbursement to the <br />City of La Porte for meals furnished to county <br />prisoners while in City Jail.. <br />+ + + <br />6. Commissioner Shepherd made a motion, seconded by <br />Commissioner Osburn, that the Mayor be authorized <br />to sign the cooperative agreement with Harris County <br />for Urban Transportation Study. Motion carried. <br />+ + + <br />7. Commissioner Stabs made a motion, seconded by <br />Commissioner Shepherd that MURRAY J. O'CONNER, <br />930 S. 2nd Street, be issued a Commission as a <br />Reserve Patrolman. Motion carried. <br />+ + + <br />8. A motion was made by Commissioner Shepherd, and <br />seconded by Commissioner Baker, and carried, that <br />McCune Paint Company of Baytown, Texas, be authorized <br />to furnish all labor and materials to sandblast and <br />clean interior surfaces of 4 steel tank filters, and <br />to coat interior surfaces with epoxy paint to thick- <br />ness of a minimum of 10 mils dry, at the Swimming <br />Pool, at a cost of X6380.00. <br />+ + + <br />9. A motion was made by Commissioner Shepherd and <br />seconded by Commissioner Stabs, and carried, that <br />the following Purchase Orders be approved: <br />No. 4218 - Frenchy's Floor Service, 8-Y-24, $ 550.00 <br />No. 4219 - B. F. Goodrich Co., 3-B-13, 240.16 <br />No. 4220 - McCune Paint Co., 9-F-38, 380.00 <br />No. 4221 - C. YJ. Seyer, Gen. Cont., 8-Y-24 429.00 <br /> + + + <br />10. A motion was made by Commissioner Baker and seconded <br />by Commissioner Stabs, that the City Engineer be <br />authorized to employ a replacement for Kenneth <br />Windsor, Public Works Department.
