• <br />MINUTES - REGULAR MEETING <br />of the <br />LA PORTS CITY COMMISSION, LA PORTS, TEXAS <br />April 5, 1965 <br />MEMBERS OF THE CITY COMMISSION PRESENT: Mayor H. P. <br />Pfeiffer, Commissioners W. A. Stabs, Jr., and <br />Russell Shepherd. <br />MEMBERS OF THE CITY COMMISSION ABSENT: Commissioners <br />rank G. Baker, and Tom W. Osburn. <br />OTHER CITY OFFICIALS PRESENT: Special Legal Counsel <br />Knox Askins, City Engineer H. Carlos Smith, Water <br />Superintendent Lyman Cunningham, Temporary City <br />Clerk Marilyn Kelley, and Fire Marshall Gould <br />Crofc~ot. <br />VISTORS PRESENT: Ernest L. Brown, Jr. <br />PRESIDING: Mayor Pfeiffer. <br />+ ~- + <br />1. Minutes of the regular meeting of March 15, 19b5 <br />were read and approved. <br />+ + + <br />2. Commissioner Stabs made a motion, seconded by <br />Commissioner Shepherd, that the City Engineer <br />be authorized to make a survey to determine <br />the location of Donaldson Street, as per an <br />agreement made between H. S. Filson and W. H. <br />Brenton, and recorded with Harris County. Motion <br />carried. <br />+ + + <br />3. Mr. Ernest L. Brown, Jr. of Moroney, Beissner & <br />Company, Inc., presented Ordinance # 711, calling <br />and election of the issuance of Bonds in the <br />amount of $ 865,000. Of this amount $ 565,000. <br />are General Obligation Bonds, and $ 300,000. are <br />Water Revenue Bonds. Commissioner Shepherd made <br />a motion, seconded by Commissioner Stabs that <br />said election be called for April 27, 1965. <br />Motion Carried. <br />+ + + <br />
