• <br />MINUTES - REGULAR MEETING <br />of the <br />LA POR TE CITY COMMISSION, LA !'ORTE, TEXAS <br />October 4, 1965 <br />MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION PRESENT: Mayor H. P. Pfeiffer, <br />Commissioners W. A. Stabs, Jr., Lois J. Compton, <br />Tom W. Osburn, and Russell Shepherd. <br />MEMBERS OF THE COMM/SSION ABSENT: None <br />OTHER CITY OFFICIALS PRESENT: City Engineer H. Carlos <br />Smith, Chief of Police H. F. Freeman, City Atforney <br />Knox Askins and City Clerk Marilyn Ke11ey. <br />PRESIDING: Mayor Pfeiffer <br />+ + + <br />1. Minutes of the regular meeting of September 20, <br />1965 were approved as written. <br />+ + + <br />2. Commissioner Osburn made a motion, seconded by <br />Commissioner Shepherd that Commission action of <br />September 13, asking that bids be received for the <br />Jail Building on October 4 be rescind. Further <br />that the Library, Civic Center and Jail Buildings <br />be tet for bid. Bids will be advertised on October 7, <br />and October 14, and received at 7:00 P. M., October 25, <br />at the City Halt. Motion carried. <br />+ + + <br />3. Commissioner Shepherd made a motion, seconded by <br />Commissioner Osburn that Ordinance No. 722 be passed <br />on first and final reading. Motion carried. <br />CAPTION: <br />AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, AND CLOSING THE <br />ALLEY LYING WITHIN BLOCK EIGHTY-TWO (82), IN THE <br />TOWN OF LA FORTE, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS. <br />+ + + <br />• <br />
