• <br />4. The City Attorney presented a letter from Dr. J. <br />Winston Morrison, M. D., requesting a refund of <br />taxes. The Commission was advised that it is the <br />responsibility of the taxpayer to pay on the proper <br />property. Commissioner Stabs made a motion, seconded <br />by Commissioner Osborn that the refund be refused <br />and that a letter outlining the reasons be sent to <br />Dr. Morrison. Motion carrted. <br />+ + + <br />5. The Commtssion was advised that due to the enforcement <br />of Ordinance No. , the Ctty has ceased to order from <br />Norris and Stanford. Mayor Pfetffer advised the Comm- <br />ission that Mr. Norris does not have a good title on the <br />property on which he owes taxes. Commissioner Stabs <br />made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Compton that <br />business with Norris and Stanford be resumed and that <br />the City Attorney be advised to file a suit for taxes <br />on the property in questton. Motton carried with <br />Commtssioner Shepherd not voting. <br />+ + + <br />6. The City Clerk was advised to notify Bayshore Lumber <br />Company thaf their 9969 taxes are due and discuss <br />the City policy with them. <br />+ + + <br />7. The City Attorney was authorized to prepare the final <br />ordinance outlining procedures to be followed when <br />requesti»g alleys and streets closed. <br />+ + + <br />8. Commtssioner Osborn made a motion, seconded by <br />Commissioner Compton that the City Engineer secure <br />bids for painting the inside of the tank recently <br />moved to the Public Works grounds. Motion carried. <br />+ + + <br />9. A motion was made by Commtssioner Stabs and seconded <br />by Commissioner Shepherd that the following items <br />be purchased from Motorola Communication: <br />9 Antena (Police Department) ~ 269.00 <br />Lead-in (Fire Department) 924.00 <br />Motton carrted. <br />+ + + <br />
