The City Attorney stated that Mr. AC Wadsworth of Hou- <br />Port Aviation, /nc., was present with executed copies <br />of the new lease agreement with the City, guaranteeing <br />sufficent revenue to the Ctty to retire the Airport <br />Revenue Bonds. He further stated that Cliff Hyde Flying <br />Service, Inc. and Hou-Port Aviation, Inc, were offered <br />tdenticai teases as share al'i'ke partners. Cliff Hyde <br />did not feel he was in a position to enter. info the new <br />lease. Hou-Port Aviation, Inc., assumed the contract <br />in total. Without the new lease agreement, the improve- <br />ments at the Airport would have been impossible. <br />Commissioner Osborn made a motion, seconded by Commissioner <br />Shepherd, that a draft of the letter presenting the proposed <br />Cease contract to Cliff Hyde Flying Service, Inc., be made <br />Exhibit "A" of the minutes. A motion was made by Commissioner Stabs, seconded by <br />Commissioner Osborn and carried that Ordinance No. 732 <br />be passed on first and final reading: <br />CAPTION: <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZ/NG AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND <br />THE CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF LA FORTE FOR ANU ON BEHALF <br />OF THE CJTY OF LA PORTS TO EXECUTE AND TO AFFIX THE SEAL <br />OF THE CITY TO AN AGREMENT OF LEASE BETWEEN THE CITY, <br />AS LESSOR, AND HOU-PORT AVIATION, INC., AS LESSEE, FOR <br />A PERIOD OF TEN YEARS, 8EG/NN/NG ON THE 95TH DAY OF <br />JANUARY, 1966, AND ENDIN/NG ON THE 94TH DAY OF JANUARY, <br />1976, WITH OPTIONS FOR RENEWALS, FOR THE LEASE OF A <br />PORTION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTS MUNICIPAL A/RPORT, <br />TOGETHER WITH THE RIGHT TO USE APPURTENANT FACILITIES <br />THEREAT, ACCORD/NG TO THE TERMS, PROVISIONS AND <br />COND/TIONS CONTAINED IN SAID AGREEMENT, A COPY OF WHICH <br />lS ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF; PROVIDING A <br />SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS <br />ORDINANCE. <br />+ + + <br />5. Commissioner Compton made a motion, seconded by Commis- <br />sioner Stabs that the Tax Assessor be authorized to buy <br />the La Porte Independent School Distrtct tax ro11 at a <br />cost not to exceed .~75., to subscribe to the Wilson Real <br />Estate Report, and to hire Richard Osborn to work new <br />tax items on a per item basis.
