I • MINUTES - REGULAR MEETING OF THE LA PORTS CITY COMMISSION, LA PORTS, TEXAS April 4, 1966 MEMBERS OF THE CQ^9M/SS/ON PRESENT: Mayor H. P. Pfeiffer, Commissioners Russell Shepherd, W. A. Stabs, Jr., and Lois J. Compton. MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION ABSENT: Commissioner Tom W. Osburn. OTHER C/TY OFFICIALS PRESENT: City Attorney Knox Askins, City Engineer H. Carlos Smith, and City Clerk Marilyn Kelley. PRESIDING: Mayor Pfeiffer. + + + 1. Minutes of the regular meeting of March 21, 1966, and the special meeting of March 28, 1966 were approved as written. + + + 2. Commissioner Stabs made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Shepherd that the City Attorney be authorized to write the owners of the small cabins on Park Street and request that the cabins either be removed or repaired. Motion carried. + + + 3. Bids for supplying pefroleum producfs for the year were received (See Exhibit No. 1). Commissioner Shepherd made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Stabs that the Gulf Oil Corporation bid be accepted. Motion carried. + + + 4. Commissioner Stabs made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Stabs That Ordinance No. 744 be approved on firsf and final reading. Motion carried. CAPTION: AN ORDINANCE TO PROTECT THE PUBLIC HEALTH AND PROMOTE THF_ PUBLIC WELFARE OF THE CITY OF LA PORTS, TEXAS, BY PROHlGITING THE THROWING, PLACING, STS., OF GARBAGE, AND TRASH ON STREETS OR HIGHWAYS, SIDEWALKS AND ALLEYS OF THE CITY OF LA PORTS; REQUIRING THE REh+OVAL OF SUCH MATER/ALS FROM HIGHWAYS; MAKING lT UNLAWFUL FOR ANY PERSON TO THROW MANURE, HULLS, PEEL/NGS, HANDBILLS, STS., ON SIDEWALKS, STREETS OR OTHERPUBLIC PLACES;
